I Saw Shops Restaurants and Cows in Miami Lakes

Miami Lakes is a small town in the north end of Miami-Dade County. I used to play soccer there over twenty years ago. Since that time lots of businesses have opened. Strangely, there is a plot of land among apartments, restaurants, shops and a supermarket that may not have been re-zoned for business. On this land I saw cows grazing. Very out-of-place.

On very bright days, I try to find a gray surface like the road or the bark of a tree and meter off it. I use that exposure reading as reference. On this day I metered off the road and got a reading of 1/400 f/13. I set my Canon 7D to manual exposure and dialed in those numbers. The camera was set to my preferred ISO setting of 200. I used a Tokina 12-24mm f/4 lens set at 24mm. I focused on the cow in the middle. The RAW untouched image had nice blue sky and showed details on the cows. Only minor adjustments were made in post-processing.
